A powerful modern data platform - always available
Project and user
To get started you create a project. Users, data and contents belong to the project. As a user, you can have several projects. You can choose to create a blank project or start with a template, where the project is filled with tables, widgets, reports and dashboards and constitutes a management system based on best practice in your industry.
Connections lets you connect data sources, iot devices and other systems.
We currently support:
- Talk2M - Industrial security gateway and datalogger from swedish HMS, compatible with most industrial controllers.
- WebCtrl - Building automation system from Automated Logic
- Weather - Weather forecast data for any place on earth.
- NB-IoT - Messages from narrowband iot devices
- SuperOffice - CRM software
A connection in operation fills data in Streams (time series) or Tables (static / transactional data).
The streams view shows all time series logged in the system and provides a tool for time series plotting.
A “stream” in Trnd is a stream of data of type [ timestamp, value ]. We operate with 3 types of streams, “connected”, “manual/api” and “calculated”
Connected streams are related to a connection.
Manual/API lets you define a stream users can fill with data manually through our UI or programatically with our API.
Calculated streams lets you define a formula with other streams as variables. Calculation is done per timestep as new data comes in.
Trndz tables are a hybrid between spreadsheet and database. Fields in a trndz table feels like a spreadsheet, but can contain rich types like stream link, checkbox, phone number and attachments.
Users can create tables, define column types, add fields, link tables to eachother, sort fields, cooperate and more. Datasets can be uploaded as .csv format or added and updated by means of a connection.

Reports gives you a classic document format you can connect directly to your data. A report definition is easily editied in a familiar editor environment. To connect data you can add widgets in your report or add data refererences directly in the text.
You can set up a report to be published on given intervals, and also add users as QA. Reports with QA-users defined are first published to QA users who approve the report before publishing.
A dashboard is a collection of widgets. Users can create new dashboards and add widgets.
Dashboads can be shared publicly or to selected logged in users.
Alerts are user defined “triggers” which are activated based on incoming data or changes in the system.
Stream alerts You can create two type alerts related to streams - auto and fixed
- Auto alerts produce an alert when the time series change in an unusual way.
- Fixed alerts produce an alert when time series value are above or below fixed user defined thresholds.
Table alerts Table alerts produce an alert when a table is changed.
Alert actions Alert actions lets you define a command to be executed when a given alert triggers. Commands can be http POST with user defined URL and parameters.
